How we collect, use, and protect your data when you use PM Toolkit.

Last updated: July 24, 2026

Your privacy matters to us.

PM Toolkit (the "Extension") is a Chrome extension that replaces your new tab page with a productivity dashboard. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights over your data.

By installing and using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension.

Quick summary: Most of your data stays on your device. We only collect what's necessary to make the Extension work. We never sell your data.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The Extension stores the following information locally in your browser using Chrome's local storage API and session storage:

  • Tasks and lists — titles, descriptions, completion status, and list colors you create.
  • Notes — rich text content you write in the notepad.
  • Charts and flowcharts — CSV data you upload, chart configurations, and flowchart designs.
  • Preferences — UI theme settings, list order, and extension configuration.
  • Nomi mascot memory — session-based interaction history (e.g., which sections you visited, total clicks). This is stored in session storage and cleared when you close your browser.

This data never leaves your browser unless you explicitly export it (see Section 4).

1.2 Data You Voluntarily Provide

When you submit the waitlist form on our website, we collect your email address. This is sent to our email processor (Formspree) and stored for the sole purpose of notifying you when the Extension launches. You can unsubscribe at any time.

1.3 Anonymous Usage Data

We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage statistics through Chrome's optional analytics features, such as:

  • Number of active users (total installs)
  • Feature usage frequency (e.g., how often tasks are created)
  • Crash or error reports

This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used only to improve the Extension.

2. How We Use Your Data

Data Type Purpose Legal Basis
Tasks, notes, charts (local) To display and manage your productivity data within the Extension Performance of contract (service delivery)
Preferences (local) To remember your UI settings and customizations Legitimate interest (user experience)
Email address (waitlist) To notify you when the Extension launches Consent (you opt in)
Anonymous usage data To improve the Extension and fix bugs Legitimate interest (product improvement)

3. Third-Party Services

PM Toolkit uses or integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Google Fonts — The Inter font is loaded from Google Fonts. Google may collect your IP address when the font is requested. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Formspree — The waitlist form submits your email to Formspree for processing. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Calendar API (coming in a future update) — If you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we will request read/write access via OAuth 2.0. Calendar data is used only for syncing tasks and is never stored on our servers.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Data Export and Deletion

Export

You can export all your tasks, lists, notes, and preferences as a JSON file at any time using the Export button in the Extension header. The file is yours to keep, backup, or transfer.

Deletion

To delete all locally stored data, uninstall the Extension from Chrome's extension manager (chrome://extensions → Remove). This clears all tasks, notes, charts, and preferences stored by the Extension.

To delete your waitlist email, reply to any launch notification email with "Unsubscribe" or contact us using the information below.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

  • Local data is stored in Chrome's sandboxed storage — it is not accessible to other extensions or websites.
  • Any data transmitted (e.g., waitlist email) is sent over HTTPS.
  • We follow the principle of data minimization: we collect only what we need.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR for EU users, CCPA for California users), you may have the following rights:

  • Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — request deletion of your data.
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to withdraw consent — opt out of any processing based on consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 9.

7. Children's Privacy

PM Toolkit is not directed at individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Extension (e.g., a notice on the new tab page) or via the email you provided on the waitlist. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
